Career Link Workplace Excellence Awards 2010

On Wednesday 10th November Mick Malone and Nev Wiebe attend the Forth Workplace Excellence Awards held at the Spinnaker Room, Belmont 16ft Sailing Club. Mick Malone proudly received the CAREER LINK COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS from Jill Hall, Federal member for Shorthand.

A total of twenty Workplace Excellence Awards were presented across the following categories

  • Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) - students who undertake 35 hours of industry work placement each year in Year 11 and Year 12, as part of a Vocational Education and Training course for their Higher School Certificate (HSC).
  • School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) - students who combine study with a part time traineeship or apprenticeship as part of their HSC.
  • Employer Excellence and Community Services Awards – recognising the invaluable support employers give by providing placements or traineeships for local students.
