We have been operating as a community men's shed since April 2006 during which time the organisation has grown in many ways in terms of supporting community projects, fund raising activities, member activities and viability. The members are keen to celebrate the occasion and as a result, have decided to hold a special day at the shed to recognise those who assisted with the early development of the shed project.
It is proposed to invite several people from our past to gather at the shed and help us celebrate the anniversary. Invitations will be issued in due course and it is hoped to have a a small but very successful memborable celebration day.
In addition, we plan to hold an open day later in the year to celebrate our anniversary on a broader scale. It is anticipated to have market stalls, shed sales and provide a sausage sizzle for the local and broader community.
The abovementioned event was held on Thursday April 28. The day was very successful. Members and guests each receiveda commemorative medallion to mark the occassion. Please see Photo Gallery for images.
